Absolutely BEAUTIFUL spot- very quiet- super-well maintained. We were surrounded by bird calls and birds from the moment that we arrived. The site we chose was right on the lake and had a super view of the lake and the surrounding woods. Although there were a few other campers nearby us, there weren't many in the section that we were in. Before we left the campsite, though, we checked out the other location that is sort of a peninsula into the lake (closer to the boat ramp) and there seemed to be many more campers there and many who had boats pulled up onto the shore. This seemed to be more of a "party spot" and we were glad that we had picked a different section.

We arrived after heavy rains & our reserved site had standing water. A staff member was very nice & helpful getting us another site. It is a very low lying campground. Beware of the pit toilets. They are poorly maintained, doors either don’t shut or lock

This is a beautiful COE park. We originally booked site 37, but I had read the good sites are first come first served. So I asked whether there were any still available when we checked in. The host said site 39 in the only FCFS site still available. It was a good thing because we probably could have fit in 37 but I don't know if we could have got our 38 foot 5th wheel backed in. Site 39 was MUCH better. We were there mid-March, and there were still quite a few open sites. Can't review the bathrooms because we did not use them. I used the tank cart to drain ( the dump station was a good 1/2 mile from our site). We did not want to pull the RV into the dump station because it was up a pretty steep hill.
Many campers had boats and were catching Crappie.
There is a Piggly Wiggly in Collinsville, just to the north and a Winn Dixie and Walmart in Meridian to the south.
We went to the Steam Engine museum in Meridian. It was small but very good.

The park was nice. Our site backed up to the lake. Plenty of space between sites. There is not much in the area to do. So unless you are into fishing there is not much else around. Smaller narrow roads outside of campground.

Public men’s toilet had no paper and one of the toilets was stopped up all week and washer dryer were out of order all week. I was very pleased with everything else all week.

We enjoyed our time at the campground. The ones looking after and taking care of the campground were very nice and wonderful to deal with.
