Hosts are always friendly and helpful. One of the most scenic and spacious COE parks. Lots of shade trees. Campgrounds are kept clean and well maintained. A previous reviewer said the gates are not open until 8 AM but there is a one way traffic spike exit open 24/7. I prefer having the entrance gates closed at 10 PM for security reasons.

Positive things about Dewayne Hayes and site 53: flat, well-maintained site. Nice paved pathway for kids to ride bikes on. That’s it.
Park host was rude. Not many riverfront sites with an actual view. Not very many sites with sewer hook up. They don’t open the gates until 8:00 am and close them at 10:00. Not good for early/late sporting events.

Picture of site not accurate. Tried to move to another site but received flack from the park host. Reserved another site on app and was out the money I spent on 86.

Really enjoy our stay. As this was our first camping tripping all the minuses were on us. The host were friendly and the park was greatt considering the covid restrictions. Will definitely come back!!!
