We love this out of the way campground! I saw a baby cardinal for the first time! We had blue birds and finches that put on a show for us each day. The peace an beauty was exactly what we needed. We met some friendly campers, found a great local diner (Polk County Diner) and we plan to go back.

We don't fish, but this quiet park with full hookups is a great place to spend time away from the hustle and bustle. It rained often so were grateful for the cement pad. The drive to get there was a little unnerving, but well worth it once we arrived. There were a total of three units at the park when we camped in early February.
Cell phone coverage with US Cellular was bad, but we bought a track phone that had fairly good coverage at the park.

The campground is very quiet, with spacious sights, and a great view of the lake.

Very clean, quiet campground. Great views of the lake or of the woods are available. There are sites for large RVs which are very level. Some of the pull thru sites are sloped. Not very crowded when we were there (after Thanksgiving).

Only stayed a couple of nights, but the view was very nice, even though the water in the lake was lowered.

We absolutely love Chickasaw Hill. Nice, quiet area with beautiful views and can usually get our favorite site.
Only downside is the turnaround at the end of loop A. There is not enough room to make the tight circle at the end without getting on the curb if you are in a large motorhome. Almost impossible to not scuff the tires and get on the curb. It would be an easy fix if the curb was moved back to widen the turn space and there is ample room for that to be done .
