What Guests Are Saying
Persimmon Hill offers a lovely camping experience with clean, spacious, and mostly level campsites, many with beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife, including deer. Facilities are well-maintained, and the campground provides excellent value, especially for seniors with the America the Beautiful Pass. While some sites have minor issues, such as grass height and traffic concerns, most visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite destination for many.

Clean and maintained park. Lot of water front sites, few pull throughs. Like full hookups and spacious sites that are here. Many sites are shaded.
Location makes it convenient to Ole Miss for a base during sporting events.
Fish hatchery is a must stop, especially for kids.
Easy access from the interstate, town (Batesville) within 10 miles for supplies.

Our site was large with a beautiful view. Untreated ant hills were abundant at the site and in the area around us. We feel the playground needs to be updated; though we enjoyed our playtime. We never saw camphosts. This is a favorite site due to size, view, and privacy.
