What Guests Are Saying
Persimmon Hill offers a lovely camping experience with clean, spacious, and mostly level campsites, many with beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife, including deer. Facilities are well-maintained, and the campground provides excellent value, especially for seniors with the America the Beautiful Pass. While some sites have minor issues, such as grass height and traffic concerns, most visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite destination for many.

We had a great trip. The view of the lake was beautiful. The grass was a little high like others mentioned, but it was fine. Our kids played on the playground, rode their bikes, we walked around the lake side some. It was beautiful. We even saw a bald eagle! Full hookups for electrical, water, black/grey. It was easy to get in and out. Top notch; will come back soon!

First time staying at Persimmon Hill. We enjoyed site #66 that was on the lake and mostly shady for most of the day. Campground is well maintained. Hope to return soon. My husband loved the fish cleaning station.

All Good EXCEPT the last two times I stayed at Persimmon Hill the grass was way too high. Why? Didn't used to be like that.

We are regulars at Persimmon Hill. Love it!! Several places to eat within 10 minutes and awesome bank fishing a few yards from camp. You can't do better!

We stayed in our Casita travel trailer with FHU on site 63 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The grounds were mowed on Tuesday after our arrival and the overall impression upon entering the CG was very positive. Our site had shades in the morning and sun in the afternoon. Cell reception with Verizon was excellent--4 bars and 5G. Men's side of the bath house was clean. Used the showers which were clean. Wished they all had hanging bars or hooks for clothes and bath towels. Also wished they had a soap dispenser by the sinks. Those two relatively minor items lowered by rating to a 4 out of 5. Will stay there again. Easy ride to Granada Lake for sightseeing and Batesville for shopping.
