What Guests Are Saying
Persimmon Hill offers a lovely camping experience with clean, spacious, and mostly level campsites, many with beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife, including deer. Facilities are well-maintained, and the campground provides excellent value, especially for seniors with the America the Beautiful Pass. While some sites have minor issues, such as grass height and traffic concerns, most visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite destination for many.

I hate that work on the walking trail has come to a halt.. Also seems that simple maintenance has been lacking this summer. Still the best park in North Mississippi

Persimmon Hill is reasonably near our house, and a favorite. The bathhouses are clean, camp hosts are cordial, and the sites are far enough from each other that you’re not on top of the other campsites. Nice boat launch area that is near but not in the middle of the campground which is nice that it reduces traffic in the campground area. Very nice layout, great campground.

Love Persimmon Hill & Enid Lake!!! We are frequent campers from Arkansas. Everything was great!!! Camp host by site 5 super nice ppl. The Deer are absolutely beautiful to watch!!
I have a concern about ppl coming into the campground during late hours & using the shower house? I witnessed while walking my dog at night after 10:30-11:30 some cars coming in & using shower house & leaving campground? If they are not campers there, not sure of where they come from?? Also vehicles traveling through campground way to fast, especially in the evening hours. So many children playing in the streets riding bikes & they should be able to do this. Just a safety concern I have noticed. Ppl need to drive slower

In what world a bathroom is not equipped with soap? I have never seen that to be the case anywhere. Minus one star just for that.
The campground is cramped. Everyone is on top of each other. For one night it’s fine. But for longer stay, you will get to know your neighbors. Expensive for what you get.
