What Guests Are Saying
Persimmon Hill offers a lovely camping experience with clean, spacious, and mostly level campsites, many with beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife, including deer. Facilities are well-maintained, and the campground provides excellent value, especially for seniors with the America the Beautiful Pass. While some sites have minor issues, such as grass height and traffic concerns, most visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite destination for many.

In what world a bathroom is not equipped with soap? I have never seen that to be the case anywhere. Minus one star just for that.
The campground is cramped. Everyone is on top of each other. For one night it’s fine. But for longer stay, you will get to know your neighbors. Expensive for what you get.

Need more concrete, around the water hook up, electric hook up, around the table and grill, wish the water hook up was higher off the ground.
To muddy after rain if it was concrete or gravel you could get back out and enjoy

Awesome campground! We go several times a year. Pads are level, making setup easy. Bathrooms have showers and are maintained daily. Bank fishing is a short walk away. Love this camground!

We stayed here one night passing through on our way to the Gulf. When we pulled in I was in awe at how beautiful this place was. We will be back and Persimmon Hill will be the destination.
