Persimmon Hill offers a lovely camping experience with clean, spacious, and mostly level campsites, many with beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife, including deer. Facilities are well-maintained, and the campground provides excellent value, especially for seniors with the America the Beautiful Pass. We stay at Persimmon Hill often and absolutely love it! A country restaurant 5 minutes away and a country store that sells groceries and pizza about 5 minutes away. Love to fish and almost always bring in a bass or crappie while bank fishing a short walk from camp. Very kid friendly as well!

Nice view. Clean campsite. Full hookups so we can’t rate the restroom/showers. Campground is not far from I/55 so it’s convenient for overnight stays.

Park is beautiful and well maintained, the only issue we had was a group that was allowed to party with loud music well after midnight even though their are signs posted that quiet hours are from 10pm-6am.

Was at site 46. The picnic table and grill were closer to site 44. As a matter of fact, thought it was their set up. Several sites fire rings were not useable due to location ( on side of hill). The campsite was exceptionally clean and level. Bath house was very clean too.

From I-55, take exit 233 onto County Road 36 south, cross the dam. Turn onto County Road 34 and continue 1 mile, following the signs into the campground.
The campground is accessible via I-55, with exit 233 leading to County Road 36.

13 mi drive to downtown Enid (about 19 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- No horses or livestock permitted at the campground
- A large picnic shelter may be reserved for $50/day
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Must have reservation before camping.
- America Beautiful Senior and Access card holder has to be present when card is used.
- No Pets in buildings.
- No ATV's allowed
- There is a beach fee of $5.00 and boat ramp fee of $5.00 per vehicle.
- Beach area and picnic shelter 583 and 584 are closed from October 1 to April 1.
