This was our first time to camp here. It was amazing. We met so many other campers from close areas & from other states. Every hostess were friendly and helpful. Clean restrooms & great showers!

Persimmon Hill is a great campground but seems to be letting some things from a last visit. Trash on the playground, one camper had someone in their spot when they arrived. The corp typically does a better job.

This is an almost perfect campground. The only problem is the noise from the interstate.

The camping area was beautiful!! Grounds were very well kept!! Very peaceful and quiet! The Park Rangers and host were very friendly and helpful!! I plan to go back soon!!

Our second time, we like it there! Breathtaking view! We appreciate how spacious the campground is. It is over 200 miles for us, but we’ll be back in next year…Lord willing.

From I-55, take exit 233 onto County Road 36 south, cross the dam. Turn onto County Road 34 and continue 1 mile, following the signs into the campground.
