What Guests Are Saying
Persimmon Hill offers a lovely camping experience with clean, spacious, and mostly level campsites, many with beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife, including deer. Facilities are well-maintained, and the campground provides excellent value, especially for seniors with the America the Beautiful Pass. While some sites have minor issues, such as grass height and traffic concerns, most visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite destination for many.

This is an almost perfect campground. The only problem is the noise from the interstate.

Our second time, we like it there! Breathtaking view! We appreciate how spacious the campground is. It is over 200 miles for us, but we’ll be back in next year…Lord willing.

This campground is east to locate. The pads are level and can handle any size RV. They also can handle boat trailers. The camp host are friendly. Restrooms and showers are clean and well maintained.
