This is a true hidden gem. Full hook up, beautiful views, beautiful and clean park. Well lit and good place to walk or ride your bicycle. We will be back, but for much longer.

This is one of our favorite parks and even more so now with full hookups. It is quiet and this sites are level with tables and grills. My only complaint on this last trip was that the fire ring was so full it could not be used.

Have stayed here several times and always enjoyed it. However, this most recent visit on 3/21/21 was less than ideal. The site we reserved (#10) was covered with a 1/2” of dried mud. Apparently someone had recently done some recent work with equipment near the concrete pad and just left the wet mud on the pad to dry. Due to our late arrival, we didn’t have an opportunity to try and remove the caked on mud from the pad, and were forced to walk through it all evening and the next morning. Needless to say it was a mess.

Persimmon Hill is our FAVORITE campground in our area. It is always clean & camp hosts keep bath houses super clean. There is great view of water from almost every spot and all pads are concrete and have electrical, water and sewer hook ups. Sewer hook up is a must for our tiny travel trailer. There are hiking trails and great playground area for kids.

I believe this is the cleanest park I ever been even the up scale parks. Wonderful camp sites. I will be back. I hated to leave

Overall the stay was nice and the view was awesome. We had 3 issues during the stay. The grill had a rusted out bottom and could not be used. We let a ranger know on a Saturday and on Monday afternoon it was replaced. We missed several days of grill cooking. The second issue is that the fire pit was about 80% full of ash and tons of nails. I filled 2 garbage bags half full. The 3rd issue was that the woman’s showers had poop in the bottom for over 3 days in a row. Not sure why it was not cleaned sooner due to covid 19.
