We only stayed overnight at Whitten Park and found it to be a relatively nice place to stay.
Our site was number 28, it is a standard site with Water and Electric hookups.
It was 100% shaded and backed up to the lake but access and view of the waterfront was limited due to tree/brush growth.
Exploring the park we found the bath/shower houses to be exceptionally clean.
Some of the amenities could use a little maintenance, but nothing of major concern.
Overall, while short, we enjoyed the stay, and would visit again when in the area.

This was our second time at Whitten Park. This campsite is one of the best in the campground. A great view of the sunset in the late summer. The campground was very quiet, clean and well maintained. We will use this location in the future.

This was our second time at Whitten Park. This campsite is one of the best in the campground. A great view of the sunset in the late summer. The campground was very quiet, clean and well maintained. We will use this location in the future.

From Interstate 22 , take Highway 25 (exit 104). Then turn left at the first red light, then turn left onto Access Road at the next traffic
light. Go north 4 miles. Campground is on the left side of the road
within the Jamie L. Whitten Historical Center Park.
