I have been a nomad for 5 years and always stop at Whitten Park. This is by far my favorite park. Wonderful sites, walking trails that are safe, three piers, and a restaurant walking distance away. Clean, wonderful restrooms, hot showers, everything you need to enjoy your stay. If you have a senior pass, it is good at this COE campground.

Great wooded sites. Hiking trail along the water in the campground. Played frisbee golf. You can access a paved bike/walking trail that goes along the Tombigbee to the nearest lock (6 miles round trip). Fire pits at each site. This was our second trip and we plan to continue camping there when we can.
