We arrived in the evening and left first thing in the morning, so we didn't experience much. A short walk exposed beautiful surroundings with nice pavilions. The sites were level, clean, and well maintained with plenty of room for "living" and plenty of space between sites. The bathrooms were very hot. They really need better ventilation.

Whitten is in a great location - close to the highway and close to a terrific size city. The majority of the sites do not have water view and non have water access but are shaded and good size.

Unfortunately there was rain for most of our stay. We did enjoy walking and exploring the park.

This is a beautiful, secluded park with spacious campsites, huge trees and walking paths. A long trail is great for walkers and biking. It is very well maintained. This is one of our favorite stops.
