What Guests Are Saying
Whitten Park is a well-kept, beautiful campground located along the Tennessee-Tombigbee River, offering clean facilities and friendly hosts. Visitors appreciate the spacious, level sites, scenic views, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great getaway. Some amenities, like the bathrooms and trails, could use updates, but overall, guests enjoy their stays and express a desire to return.

Site #12 was perfect. Everything worked as it should. Restroom / Shower was clean and well stocked. Attendant was very accommodating, we booked site 10 which stated it was more than large enough for our 26 ft fifth wheel and pickup. The attendant let us know that it was not and moved us to site 12 within a matter of minutes. Site 12 had a much better view of the water as well. Easy access to pier fir some great photos of the sunset over the water. Wish we could have stayed linger. Booked as an overnight stay on our way home. I would highly recommend. Site 10 appeared to be the only one in that loop that is not easily accessible for a 26 ft fifth wheel

We absolutely loved site #9. Being at the park at this time of year, there were lots of empty sites and with no one in site 8, we had the double site with amazing waterviews to ourselves. There was a tornado watch/warning while we were there but the hosts mad sure we knew where to go to seek shelter and helped us feel safe during the experience. I would definately go back to this campground and would stay longer next time. Also, it is conveniently located off the highway and is big rig friendly.

The people at the campground check in office went above and beyond helping me find a spot after we had some issues on the road and had to make stop as soon as we could. Unfortunately we weren’t able to really get a good look at the park since we got there at sundown and left as early as we could after making some repairs to our camper.
