We stopped for 4 nights on our way south at North Abutment. It's one of our favorite places, even better now that there is full hook-up at all the sites! Very roomy, level, paved sites that, for the most part, are plenty long for easy set-up.

This campground is awesome! We had site #23 - a back-in site which was plenty long enough for truck and 37ft. trailer. Had full hookups, including sewer at site, and our AT&T phone and Verizon wifi worked perfectly! The bathhouse was spotless and the hot water worked. We stayed there 3 days in late December - didn't know ahead of time that they drain a good bit of the lake in winter, so our site looked out over ... mud :) But it was still very beautiful and I got some lovely sunrise pictures! Night skies were incredibly dark - so many stars. Sites are very, very roomy and the park is large enough for nice long walks or bike rides. Be sure to visit the Grenada Dam Visitor Center. There are some good hikes nearby, although they may be seasonal. The town of Grenada has all you need - we ate at a local eatery called Pap's Fish and Steak. Best downhome Southern buffet ever, the people so friendly, and service was excellent.
We will be returning next year as this campground was everything we like about camping!

Beautiful Park! Would like to return during spring and summer when lake is full. Lots of places to discover, lots of fishing on south spillway but none at north abutment as it was winter and that side was dry.
