As always, I enjoy my time at North Abutment.
The cell phone service is awful if you have CSpire
But, my same complaint is the use of motorized bikes driven by children with no helmet. The side by sides being driven through the park with no tag or disabled permit playing very loud music and driving well over the speed limit. Also, these side by sides , electric bikes and three wheel golf carts drive the circle going the wrong direction. The three wheel golf carts also had three and for kids on them , no adults.
I don’t understand any of the above.
Normal people, not disabled, would love to bring their Golf Carts and ride their grandchildren through the park.
We are licensed campers with valid drivers licenses, that have respect for other campers in the park and would like to have the privilege of riding our golf carts .
Kids are abusing the rules with no repercussions and adults are being punished and not allowed to enjoy the camp grounds.
I would like a response to this issue please.
Or, have the law enforcement be on the premises for all offenders.

We always enjoy our stay at North Abutment. The host really do a great job of maintaining the sites and keep them looking good. They are always willing to assist in any situation.

Of ALL the COE campgrounds we've ever visited, North Abutment is by far the nicest park. The roads do need some attention since sewer was installed to all the sites but overall it's managed very well. The volunteer hosts do a really good job of keeping it clean.

Please work on opening the fishing peers and maintaining the grass

Very impressed. Clean, well run. The pads are spacious and well maintained. Quiet in the evenings. I highly recommend!

From I-55, take the Grenada exit on highway 8 east through the
City of Grenada for approximately three miles then turn left on
Scenic Loop 333. Follow Scenic Loop 333 across the dam and
take the second road to the right at the North end of the Dam.
The campground is accessible from I-55 via Highway 8, approximately three miles east through the City of Grenada.
Elevation: 72 feet
5.4 mi drive to downtown Grenada (about 10 min)

- During winter months the water level in the reservoir is dropped more than 20 feet, to provide a storage area for spring rains and prevent flooding
- Fishing license can be purchased on Highway 8, near the campground
- There is a required boat ramp fee
