Very nice, clean and quiet campground. The host came by and introduced himself, which was nice. The site was level and spacious. We will return if in the are and do recommend North Abutment CG.

Lake is beautiful. Nice to see some folks out riding bikes with their kids. Quiet, clean, gorgeous spaces. Very large and room for pups to play. Ample parking at your site.

This is a beautiful campground with several areas to choose from. We were here earlier this year and stayed on the waterfront. This time we thought we'd find a spot in the woods. Being July, it was pretty warm, and shade became a very valuable asset. We actually walked around, a lot of times, just keeping track of where the breezes were and where the shade hit. During the week, it's a very quiet campground, and we've yet to stay here over the weekend, so can't speak for that, but the camp host is super nice and informative and will help you in any way he can. We aren't boat people, so all we can say is that it looked like people on the water were having a good time. We definitely will return to this campground, but in more pleasant temps, as Mississippi is unforgiving, when it comes to heat and humidity.

From I-55, take the Grenada exit on highway 8 east through the
City of Grenada for approximately three miles then turn left on
Scenic Loop 333. Follow Scenic Loop 333 across the dam and
take the second road to the right at the North end of the Dam.
The campground is accessible from I-55 via Highway 8, approximately three miles east through the City of Grenada.
Elevation: 72 feet
5.4 mi drive to downtown Grenada (about 10 min)

General
- During winter months the water level in the reservoir is dropped more than 20 feet, to provide a storage area for spring rains and prevent flooding
- Fishing license can be purchased on Highway 8, near the campground
- There is a required boat ramp fee
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
