We use this as a stop off on our way home each trip. It is quiet & easy to get in and out of. While the lake now has a bit of water, it is still not usable. The bathrooms are not clean, so we did not use them.

My site 28 was at the edge of the lake area and the breezes help keep the bugs down. The park is in great shape and not far from Memphis.

From I-55, take the Hernando, Mississippi exit and turn west. Continue to to HWY 51 and turn south. Turn west on Wheeler Road and follow signs into campground.
Hernando Point Campground is accessible from I-55 via the Hernando exit, approximately 2 miles away. From I-55, travelers can reach HWY 51, which is also nearby.

General
- Visitors are expected to be aware of park general rules
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reminds all visitors that coast guard approved personal floatation device is required when conducting activities on or in the waters of Arkabutla Lake. These activities include but are not limited to swimming, waterskiing, riding on personal watercraft, kayaking, and other boating related activities. If vessel is under 16 feet in length a PFD is mandatory at all times. If vessel is over 16 feet in length, PFDs are only required while making way under main propulsion.
