This is one of my favorite parts in Mississippi, the park is well-maintained, and the amenities are all close by. We’ll definitely come to this part again.

The new electric posts are awesome! Keeps any surge protector off of the ground and upright as required. Even have a hose mount to hold water and/or electric cord. All hookups were easy and close, no extensions necessary. Grass & trees, sky and stars in places. Able to use Starlink Roam, as were next door neighbors.Well paved pad out to the paved road.Showers are huge and solo entrances, do need a bit of TLC from wear but functional and shower head delivers strong water stream. Overall peaceful camp very quiet at night... except for frequent loud barking nearby that, not once, did owners even try to hush that dog. In a bayou, as name suggests, so lots of flying insects & biters. Drive in was well paved and forested, ~1 mi from US90; beware that once you enter the Park Dr --for which there is no street sign!-- that there is no signage directing campers to the camp entrance, just signage for other areas along the road, until literally a few feet before McGee Rd where you're to turn onto to enter. There is a "last exit" sign for large vehicles midway which made us do a double take and wonder which way to drive. Busy camp. Everything needed or wanted is available in Ocean Springs, Biloxi, D'Iberville area, likely due to huge Keeler AFB presence.

Pretty little campground with a ton of nature. What a special place this is with a ton to do. Location is convenient to groceries and other amenities. Can’t wait to come back! Site 10 was perfect for my 27 ft class c and jeep.

The policy at Davis Bayou regarding OPDMDs needed by handicap persons is very unfair. I suffer from asthma, and due to and multiple conditions with my legs, I can walk short distances only. My necessary mode of mobility is a miniature golf cart. It's about a third scale of a standard golf cart. I need this particular mobility device because it allows me to haul things, laundry, groceries, fishing gear, crab trap, beach supplies, etc.. It also, like a double seat mobility scooter, allow a second person, so when my legs won't allow me to operate my cart I can get assistance from my husband.
Since Davis Bayou policy restricts me to my campsite, I am not allowed to do any of these things. I am not allowed to enjoy the park as able bodied persons are. As handicap persons with wheelchairs or scooters are allowed. A scooter will not meet my needs. Once I succumb to a wheelchair I will be condemned to it forever. I am trying (with the aide of my cart) to remain as active as possible for as long as I can. I am not yet willing to succumb to a wheelchair. It's unfair that I should be discriminated because a scooter and wheelchair don't fit my needs as a legally handicap person.
There needs to be change in Davis Bayou park policy regarding ADA approved OPDMDs.
