I tent camped in site 13. It was very peaceful. We giggled at a curious armadillo that made a visit to our area. The campfire ring/grill top was very convenient. We enjoyed making breakfast on the grill top with our cast iron skillets. Lots of shade. The drive through the wildlife area is beautiful with trees that canopy over the road.

I’ve been camping six months of each year for the past six years and this is one of the nicest and best campgrounds I have had the privilege to camp in. It is very clean with roomy paved sites and the campground is an excellent place to ride your bike. Lots of wildlfe to view and the visitor center is fabulous. Ocean Springs is a sweet little town and only a short bike ride from the campground. The camp host gave me a map of bike route into town. Verizon cell service is good, showers are clean and camp hosts are super nice. From my perspective, the only negative is that I could never tolerate the hot humid Mississippi weather in the summer so late fall and spring time are best for those who are not tolerant to hot humid weather. If you have the national Park senior pass, the nightly rate is a bargain at $11 a night. I highly recommend.

We had to leave because of a hurricane. I was at my camp site for a day. We came back after two days. I was asked to make another reservation because I wasn’t on the paper the person was using to check people in with, even though I had a reservation until the 19th.
I made another reservation a paid for the reservation even though I had a reservation on the computer still. I was never reimbursed for the days I was asked to leave and the days still left on the prior reservation, when I was asked to make another reservation.

Really enjoyed our stay. Laid back and comfortable. We were looking for a place to go since we can't get a reservation at our long time campgrounds in Florida. I think we found it.

A nice quiet campground close to plenty of activities. The sites are small but well maintained. The park ranger is a very unpleasant person, but the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful.
