Small but nice park. Campsites are fairly close together and driveways are rather short. It’s nicely located on very bikeable routes. We enjoyed our trip very much and would probably go again. All that said we did find that the Ranger was not very friendly nor helpful. Very different from our experiences at other COE parks.

Although the pads are asphalt, our RV is 8 feet wide and these pads for probably 9 1/2 to 10 feet wide at the max and they were extremely difficult to get into and I’ve been doing this for over 13 years. I would compare the staff to a third grade teacher, who wanted to swatch your hands if you did something wrong. We will not be back to this facility ever and we travel the road every year. I was just saying it was not a good experience.

Where to begin!! This is the best campground in the area for those who love southern food, cultural and art exhibits/museums, beaches, convenience to shopping and entertainment for the kids as well as for the grown-ups. Plan ahead for concerts at the Biloxi Coliseum. Best of all is the congeniality of the park ranger, Patty Kuehn. We’ve stayed in many Nat’l Parks, but none with as friendly a park ranger as Patty. Although friendly, she runs a tight ship and rightfully so. With that said, please do the speed limit of 5 mph for everyone’s safety! Always prefer this park over others in the area.

This is a beautiful campground and well maintained BUT the no-see-ems are unbearable. They were out 24/7 and my friends and I have zillions of bites that itch like crazy. We were not able to sit outside and socialize. We spent most of our time outside of the campground. The area is convenient with a drugstore, hospital, Walmart, Rouse, etc very close by. We were talking to a workman in Lowes and he said the bugs are year round and nothing helps except to stay inside. It's a shame because, like I said, it's a beautiful campground.

Very pleasant camp ground. There's an exit that will take you on to town streets so riding a bicycle to town or over to Biloxi is very easy. The bay near the visitor center is a great place to watch the sun set.
Nicely paved sites though some on the exterior edge are not very level.

Site #25 Positives: easy check in, clean and close bathrooms/shower, level camppad/driveway, functional water and electric, ample picnic areas, viewed dolphins at the dock, viewed gators near the roadside pullout. Negatives: pesky insects, nightly barking dog, nightly train noises, many closed trail boardwalks needing repairs

We really like Bayou Davis for its location a nd proximity to Ocean Springs and multiple nearby breweries. The showers could use some improvements. The water is hot but there is no place dry for clothing or dressing.
