Nice place to camp. The shower water was barely warm though. The camp site is beautiful and remote.

Too many pets not kept on a leash. When I called the regional office to inform them, the recording said they were closed due gov shutdown. The gov had been opened before this time. Won't be back.

Had campsite 3, loved the views and the location is excellent for sitting out by the lake and fishing, and there is not much light pollution. We enjoyed just sitting back at night and looking and the hundreds of visible stars.

Bathhouse is a little grungy, but it won't keep me from returning.

Early November is beautiful there, the forest is well managed to have a natural mix of oaks, pines and hickory. The hickory and bald cypress where giving off really nice colors.

There are really nice mown paths that let you traverse a really long stretch of the shoreline from the campgrounds, and if you drive around to the pavilion there is access to a pier to fish from.

  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.

    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee.
