We have camped a cedar ridge for several years. The camp host use to be very nice. The last several times they have been very rude. This past time camping there will be our last until they get new host. We were hooked up and ready to pull out and was having trouble with the receiver hitch and at 6:05 pm the host pulled up and parked in front of our site and got out and started yelling at us because it was past 6 and we weren’t gone yet. This was on a Sunday evening and of the 30+ sites there, only 4 were booked so it’s not like we were keeping someone from getting on there spot.

The park attendants are very nice. I have been going here for over 30 years. The only problems I have with this campground are that there is almost no maintenance to the campsites. Lots of the electrical power boxes are very old, and have loose receptacles. Many firepit grills are broken and have been for years. I go here mainly for location on the lake, and nice boat ramps. Swimming area has a very good sandy beach. In 2020 a lot of dead trees were removed, and in 2021 many of the electric sites on the A loop had new gravel and much better leveling of the sites.

We came in very late on Thursday night and was planning on staying to Sunday. Had good day on Friday, but Saturday was rainy with a forcast of heavy storms Saturday night so left early--was refunded Saturday night fee without even asking. The shower restrooms by entry booth was very clean, and the flush restooms in the camping area were useable but could have been a little better. We drove to the nice but small official sand beach about a mile from campgrounds, but the older kids were not impressed so we did not use it. However, in the campground there is an unofficial pebble beach the little ones enjoyed, and the older ones enjoyed the swim (it is said if water level is low you can walk) to an island where they could jump into the water and climb over the rocks. I am 71 and it has been some time since I last camped, however, my 37 year old adopted son and his wife, along with their 14, 12, 6 and 4 year olds had never been camping (they wanted to tent camp without electricty in middle of July--HAHA!!! they found out why I did not recommend it). The camping trip was a sucess as they want to do it again (but in a popup with electricty and AC) so looks like we will be back in September.
