Our group has camped on Loop A for 30 plus years. The group grew from a few to 64 people this year. We love the Loop A because we all can get around the loop and be together and the kids love the playground. We have been disappointed in a few things. We enjoy the new asphalt but it doesn't go far enough on the curves to allow the campers to be pulled without dropping off the edge. We are extremely disappointed in the newer restroom and showers. With the shower and restroom being in the same unit it has eliminated the ability for more than 4 people to use the facility at once. This was a poor design and the old showers were better because 8 people could use the units at once. We also noticed in the 7 days we were there the bathrooms/shower was not as clean as in the past. Appears to be the same people cleaning though. We also had a breaker box short out on one site. I wished I could be more positive but the reality is the campground needs some serious attention. We still enjoy the camping even with the shortcomings.

The bathrooms were bug infested and nasty. Rarely were they clean and one night the bugs were so bad in the shower house my daughter was bitten multiple time and she came out of the shower house covered in bugs.

nice park a lot of potential here. Very good place to come spend a hot summer day and cool off in the river. Don't recommend the weekends if you have young kids gets a little rowdy.
