About Shell Knob Rec Site Pavilion

Shell Knob Recreation Site is situated along a bluff overlooking the White River arm of beautiful Table Rock Lake, in an unincorporated portion of Shell Knob. It is a great location to relax and enjoy being away from it all. The site can best be described as resembling a city park with a view. Even though it is near numerous subdivisions, Shell Knob is an unincorporated community.

The area is loved by visitors, though there are concerns about cleanliness, particularly with spiders and webs under the tables. Some maintenance is needed to address outdoor dust and dirt. Keys for access are available at Harter House.

Doors were not locked homeless man sleeping
in kitchen none of the appliances were present and it was very very dirty in side

Nice area for photos, but park could have been maintained better. Dumpster and garbage cans were full. Grass had not been cut in a while. Not all of the fans in the pavilion worked.

Be prepared to clean because it’s outdoors and gets blowing dust and dirt. Could use some maintenance.

Love the area. Was disappointed in having to get rid of all the spiders and webs under the tables. I would think that it could possibly be sprayed for these. There were hundreds of baby spiders in these webs
