Love's RV Hookup-Bates City MO 809

Stayed overnight in spot one. This was our first time using the Loves RV. we have a 44 ft toy hauler which i had to overhang some to fit both truck and camper. it was a pretty unlevel spot but it worked for a night. will definitely be using the Loves RV spots in the future during our travels to split up our drive time.

We stayed here for a night with our family, 3 kids and a dog. The small dog park area was nice to have for her to run a little off her leash. Everyone was very friendly and lots of great food options. We slept really well and didn’t really hear any trucks coming and going even though the big lot is close by. I was very skeptical of staying at a loves but after staying there we would stay here again, easy! We even unhooked the trailer for a few hours while we went to Union Station and dinner with family. It was a good spot to stay! Could have been a little more level but overall it worked fine for what we needed!

They kicked my 75 year old parents out at 11pm because they sold the same spot to two campers. My parents tried to stay the night here. They paid for a spot, parked where they were instructed, and went to bed. They were awaken at 11 pm to pounding on their door. The Loves employee yelled at them, accused them of not paying and told them to leave immediately. My parents explained they had paid, she was the one who took their payment and they could show her the receipt, which they did. She continued to yell at them, tell them she didn't care if they paid, the spot was reserved and they had to leave. Another camper apparently had reserved the spot. The worker wrongly also sold the spot to my parents. The place was full, she messed up. It was her mistake but she treated my parents as if it were their fault. She did not need to yell at them. She should have politely apologized for her mistake and tried to help them find a new location nearby. The man who had the reservation also began talking angry to my parents because the employee led him to believe my parents were illegally parked there. Again, they were not. They paid and were instructed by this same lady to park in this spot. She wasn't even going to give them a refund. They had to insisted on a refund which she angrily gave them. (They were glad they had requested the receipt when they paid because she had not offered to give them one). Then they had to drive down the road at 11:30 at night to try to find another place on their own.
This is wrong on all levels. My family does not recommend this place.

Really clean facilities, showers and store. The rv spots might be problematic for longer campers. My in-laws had trouble getting their 40 ft 5th wheel level in 2 different sites. Never could.

We stopped here for a night on a road trip with our kids mainly for the novelty and everyone had a great time! The kids had fun staying at a truck stop and loved being closed to a store full of snacks. I appreciated having a water hook-up even though the site said it didn't have one. The site also suggested we would have to pay for showers but those were included as well (which were nice and clean and I appreciated the included linens). There was noise overnight, but you have to expect that at a truck stop. I wish the site was slightly more level, but I didn't have any problems getting our camper level.
