We had a great time relaxing under the shade trees and floating in the water at the swim beach. The site wasn't too far from the beach. I didn't pay attention before I booked the site and was surprised to find only 30 amp at this site A54.

Lots of shade trees. Adjustable fire ring. Only 1 thing could have been improved but it was almost a deal breaker. Shower house had no temperature control, water was steaming hot. Impossible to shower there. We had great site but shower situation wrecked whole week.

Made reservations 4 days before arrival, when I got there we had no tag on the pole indicating that it was reserved. Anyone could have came in before me on the arrival day and took my spot and they would have not known it was reserved until they went to pay or until I showed up and had no spot. Legally they can not force that person to move either. When i asked at the fee booth they advised if I reserved after Sunday then they do not put a tag out. I do not agree with this approach.
Grass needs to be cut towards end of the week before the park becomes busy. 2 weekends in a row the grass was tall and needed cut but no one ever did while we were there.
Other than the above its a nice park and we still love to visit Bucksaw

The camp site was lovely and the view of the lake was great, but the shower house was dingy and the water only had the option of hot and HOTTER! It was very unpleasant, especially when it was already 90 degrees outside. Also there was POOP IN THE SHOWER DRAIN of one of the showers which was hilarious, but super gross and I almost threw up.
