Spaced out and very clean COE park. There are no sewer hookups but the dump station is easy to access and has an island style setup. You can pull up to either side of the island and dump your waste. There is a large bathhouse (no hand soap) just past the dump stations but you’ll want to drive or ride a bike there if you’re in A loop. The dumpsters are also down there so more than likely you’ll want to drive to the trash dump. The A loop has a couple bathrooms but no showers. The main road and loops are nicely paved but the gravel spots are better in some sites than others. We have good gravel and drainage in site A26 but across the road in A27 there’s lots of mud after it rains. There are a handful of sites that are setup for groups and close together, however, most have plenty of space and grass beyond the gravel pad. You can walk to the lake but you have to cut through someone’s site to get there so that’s not recommended. Another option is to drive past Loop B and hit the dirt road. It leads to a loop with a parking area for about a dozen vehicles. There is a short path leading to the water where you can easily fish or get in the water. It’s not a beach but the water is right there. It would be an easy place to get in a kayak or similar thing.
Cell reception was weak for Verizon and the TV only has four channels (PBS). However, if you have Starlink or DirecTV you should have no issues getting reception. Most sites are partially shaded but it's easy to get a clear view of the sky if that’s what you want. From what I can tell, Loop A has 50/30A electric and water hookups while Loop B only has 30A and no water hookups. The bathhouse has two washers and two dryers for $2.00 per load. Nearby town of Clinton has many amenities for shopping and eating.

This is nice, quite campground with flat grassy and shady spots. Lake access is provided by boat launch- there are a few spaces that have a bit of a lake view, but not right on the lake. I wanted to take time for a special shout out to the campground hosts- they are very friendly and kind- and the showerhouse/ restroom was the cleanest I have ever experienced at a campground (Corps, FS, state parks, private, etc)- WOW! ( FYI, I camp about 40-60 nights a year, so I have seen some things LOL)- outstanding :-)

Great clean and well-kept park. We were in the "A" park, and as I walk around, I noticed many spaces in the "B" park did not have water. But we were good and enjoyed out time.

Just ahead of the 4th of July weekend, campground only had a half dozen occupants. Nice and quiet. Great access to Truman Lake. Didn’t try my luck, but lotsa fish jumping as I walked the edge of the lake.
