What Guests Are Saying
Round Spring Campground offers a beautiful location with clean, well-maintained facilities, including hot showers and restrooms. Many visitors appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, proximity to the Current River, and opportunities for wildlife sightings, such as wild horses. However, some campers noted issues with campsite leveling and limited cell service, as well as occasional noise from nearby river activities. Overall, it remains a popular destination for its natural beauty and amenities.

I have been camping at round springs for over 40 years. First with my brothers in college then with my wife and family and now my wife and I head down once or twice a year. It is an absolutely beautiful area and we thoroughly enjoy it. The campground is a little dated but overall it is maintained well. The bathrooms and showers are fairly new and clean and maintained. I would love to see more electric and water hook ups at places in addition to the existing area which is centralized and in the middle of a large asphalt area. We will continue to visit round springs and float the current as long as we are able.

Campsite was very nice. Far from the restroom and the other campsites. Far enough that the loud music and loud voices are not as annoying. I do not understand why the price per night has been raised to $140. Considering small restroom, cold showers and we were told that the beach is now a boat launch and cannot be used.

This is a good clean camp. This was our second time camping here. We had 3 days of great floats on the current. Love the Dairy shack in Eminence. Kids and grandkids have a blast! Bring the bikes!

This campground is very well-maintained and a favorite of ours. I would compare the bathrooms to the quality of the ones at Echo Bluff (the bathrooms next to the walk-in camping- NOT the lodge). The campground is right off the current river, so even after a long day of floating, the walk back to your campsite isn't super painful. The camp host is also very friendly, and we really enjoyed the show at the amphitheater! We have stayed at this location multiple times, and will continue to do so.

The campsite was awesome. The neighbors/group in Group Site 2 were awful. Or at least a few were. F this and F that and F you till 3 AM in the morning - yelling and screaming. Any chance that at the restrooms a button could be installed to call the Rangers for help? They have them at all the campuses now. Where you can hit a button. Cell phones don't work or we would have called. We didn't want to go to the campsite because we heard a women say something like - go ahead and get your gun. We didn't want to leave the kids, we weren't exactly sure where we needed to go to get a Ranger. Other then that little incident - the rest of the weekend went fine. I also found a Copperhead on my way to the rest rooms near the path around 10 PM Friday night. My husband and college age daughter and her boyfriend removed it to across the highway, they also found 3 more on the South side of the restrooms in the grass Friday night. They were also removed. Two were 2 1/2 footers.

Love this campground. Always clean and quiet; lots of shaded and sunny sites. Friendly staff and love the ranger talks at the amphitheater.

The campground was well taken care of, and the bathrooms were clean. We stayed at campsites 40 and 42, which are both down a small hill. I would not recommend those sites unless you don’t mind going up/down a hill every time you need something from your car or have to use the restroom. The campground was quiet in the evenings/early morning, and the host was friendly/helpful. We enjoyed the Ranger presentation on Saturday evening (the kids loved it). If you are interested in floating, we used Carr’s Canoe Rental and had a great experience - they picked us up at our site and we floated from Pulltite to Round Springs (the campground), and walked back to our campsite at the end of our float. The driver told us some cool spots to check out along the river, and I am glad we did! We are looking forward to coming back!

Been reserving and camping at this same site on this same weekend (wkend before Father's Day Wkend) for over 30 years now. It used to be first-come-first-server, so when they started doing reservations, it made it soooo much better. One of the most beautiful places on earth, National Scenic Riverways in Central Missouri .... and the campground is fantastic. Non-electric hookup in this large group site, be we know that already.
