Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp Resort: Eureka, Missouri

Jellystone is a great place to camp,RV, or rent a cabin. We stayed in a cottage with full kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of room for family dinner, comfortable beds. Beautiful scenery and lots of activities for children. The pool is clean and well maintained. The snack bar has a good selection and the pizza is yummy.

We recently stayed at Jellystone Park Eureka, and while it served its purpose for our trip, it’s not a campground we’d choose purely for the camping experience.

The biggest drawback for us was the site layout. The campsites are extremely tight—so much so that we couldn’t even put out our awning. There was no real outdoor living space, and it felt like we were sitting right in the road and on display the entire time. There’s also no grass, and most sites are surrounded by cabins, which really changes the overall camping atmosphere.

Speaking of cabins, many of the surrounding ones were occupied by large groups during our stay. Unfortunately, this led to a lot of late-night noise and a general lack of campground etiquette. The environment felt more like a busy resort than a relaxing campground, and the groups around us were not particularly friendly.

That said, there are definitely some positives. The location is excellent if you’re visiting Six Flags—it’s the main reason we chose this campground, and for that purpose, it’s very convenient. The staff was also a highlight—friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with throughout our stay.

The pool area was clean and enjoyable, though I would caution families that the bottom is very rough—our daughter ended up scraping her hand while grabbing a toy. Bathrooms and showers were decent overall—functional and mostly clean—but they could definitely benefit from a deep cleaning and some updates.

Like most Jellystone/Yogi Bear parks, there are plenty of activities for kids, though many come at an additional cost. We didn’t participate in those, but families looking for a more activity-driven stay may enjoy that aspect.

Overall, we would consider staying here again if we were planning multiple days at Six Flags due to the convenience. However, we would not return strictly for a camping trip, as it doesn’t offer the space, quiet, or atmosphere we personally look for in a campground.

The park was very clean and lots of Fun for my grandbabies!
The only problem I had was that I have 3 small grandchildren and the folks near us partied all weekend they was drunk and up very late and very loud! And it was hard to get the kids to sleep! But other than that it was great family place !
If I come back I will make sure we are not near a bunch of young people that like to party! The cottage we had was perfect for a. Family!

10/10 great family campground! Courtney was amazing with the activities from scheduled ones and spontaneous from rain. Tom was very helpful in the gift shop and was able to answer all questions I had without any issues and was able to make sure I got to my activity before it ended. The entire staff is honestly amazing. Didn’t have a bad experience the whole stay with any of their workers. From the moment of check in, they made sure I was where I wanted to be and made sure I had a good time. Will definitely be back again!

The camper sites are fairly tight to back in and are not level. The employees were very friendly and did their best to keep the kids entertained. This jellystone does not have a lot of extra amenities other ones have. The putt putt course is only 9 holes. The campground host site smelled of marijuana for an entire day during our visit.
