Ruark Bluff East offers a fantastic camping experience with a beautiful location, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it ideal for families. Campers appreciate the spacious sites, stunning lake views, and the variety of outdoor activities available, such as fishing and swimming. Excellent campground and the park attendant is very good along with the volunteers. The restrooms are the cleanest that they have ever been. The new volunteers this year keep everything very clean.

Twenty men from my Sunday School class recently held our 15th annual men's camping a fishing excursion at Stockton Lake's, Ruark Bluff East campgrounds. We had a ball staying at the Mutton Creek Group Camp. The individual camp sites there were perfect for either tent, trailer, or RV. The pavilion was awesome for fish fries, cook outs and other group activities. Flush toilets in the immediate camp ground was a pleasant surprise as the description of the amenities on Recreation.gov sounded like we would have to go all the way the shower house to go to the bathroom. The condition of the campground was amazing for being so early in the season. The gravel beach was awesome and very handy for the guys that wanted to fish off of the bank. There were also several boat ramps near by for those of us with boats. Overall I would give this camping facility a score of 10 out of 10 for location, condition of the grounds, ease of access, scenery and proximity to the water, and the available amenities on site. Great job to everybody that was involved in getting the facilities ready for us. We had a ball.

HATE recreation.gov. Would have chosen a different site if given the opportunity to see in person. Pictures on site lie.

Great area and quiet. Only problem was just before sunset, the Millions of mosquitos that started coming out was insane. I have never seen so many at once. It looked like a fog bank shimmering as you look up through the park they were so bad. I ended up leaving that night because of it. I had citronella burners and sprayed the tent with mosquito repellant but did not work. Park systems really need to think about spraying to mitigate the hoards of mosquitos due to potential health hazard. I will go back but it will be in the fall when its colder and less chance of mosquito invasion.
