Great area and quiet. Only problem was just before sunset, the Millions of mosquitos that started coming out was insane. I have never seen so many at once. It looked like a fog bank shimmering as you look up through the park they were so bad. I ended up leaving that night because of it. I had citronella burners and sprayed the tent with mosquito repellant but did not work. Park systems really need to think about spraying to mitigate the hoards of mosquitos due to potential health hazard. I will go back but it will be in the fall when its colder and less chance of mosquito invasion.

Enjoyed the Campground. Grass was tall at first, but after 6 days they mowed.

Grass was not mowed and in some places it was over a foot tall. Ran over 2 copperheads near campsite. Would be easier to watch for snakes if grass was better maintained. Volunteers were really nice.

Ruark Bluff East is one of our favorite places to camp. It is on the water, so we went swimming and fishing a lot. It is a beautiful park. The new campsites were a great addition. Our only complaint, was the showers were not as clean as they have been in the past and the grass was a little too high. Other than that it was great. We have already booked our next trip.

Everything there was excellent but it was needing a mowing something fierce. One guest brought a mower and mowed his campsite himself. If that wasn’t bad enough, on Monday morning they came to mow and were mowing around my campsite while I was packing up and all the empty sites still needing mowed.

Speed bumps need to be installed in the roads by water!! A child is going to get run over! Seen several people speeding through there right as children were crossing to go to water
