GeneralNotice to Campers - Greenville Campground October 2026:During the last 3 Saturdays of October, the Greenville Campground will host the Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee Special Event. The event will take place Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. During this time, the gates to the campground will be closed and no vehicle traffic will be allowed through due to pedestrian traffic. Participants will enjoy trick-or-treating through the campground. Campers are encouraged to participate in site decoration, but participation is completely voluntary. This is a family friendly event. Passing out alcoholic beverages or other adult drinks will not be allowed. This will be a highly trafficked time for the campground, so if you believe that this will affect your stay at the Greenville Campground, please make appropriate schedule changes or accommodations. Campsites are nice and level. The concrete is nice and you don’t track up your camper.

Great site for camping. As long as you have the appropriate equipment during certain seasons. Definitely bring bug spray and anything anti-mosquito. They fly rampant. Lot of stuff to do nearby and on the property. Look out for hungry raccoons. They will riffle through your backpack if you leave food in there.

The campground is wonderful, especially with full hookups. However, we were in a truck camper and found that the showers could use major upgrading, especially with heat.
The bike trails are a nice feature, but they lack signage and they do not complete any sort of loop. Good LTE signal (Tmobile), but zero TV signals.
Highly recommend visiting Poplar Bluff museums, and the Ozark National Scenic Riverways Park, where you will find the aqua waters of Big Spring coming out the side of a rock wall.
Bring your kayaks to this CG, there is a boat ramp that makes for easy launching into the tranquil waters of the Francis River.

The physical address of the park is located a mile south of Greenville, MO.
From St. Louis, take I-55 south to Highway 67 south to
Greenville. From here, continue south about 1 mile and look
for signs.
From Poplar Bluff take Highway 67 north about 29
miles and look for signs.

Existing day use shelter reservations may be cancelled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers if the facility is closed due to flooding, elevated security threats, maintenance problems, etc. Reservations may also be cancelled when the reservation conflicts with large public special events that would negatively impact a private event at the shelter. For these reasons, customers should consider an alternate date or location in the event a closure is necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. |

This campground was completely renovated in 2019. Every site has been upgraded to full hook-up campsites, 50 amp electric, water and sewer. Each impact site was upgraded to concrete 16'X40' pads and include and accessible firering/grill, picnic table, and lantern post. |

Attention All Recreation Users: If you would like to hold an event or wedding at any of the project’s day use shelters, boat ramps, or any recreation area please call or visit the USACE Wappapello Lake project office to obtain the special use or event permit REQUIRED.These permits are required if you are hosting: a large gathering greater than 50 people, fishing tournaments, 5k’s, weddings, use of a bounce house/water slide of any kind, ETC. Please note that if events are held that require, but do not possess a special use or special event permit may be subject to a WRITTEN CITATION. Per Title 36 CFR 327.21(a) If you are planning on hosting an event and it does not fall under these specific criteria, please contacting with the USACE Wappapello Lake Project Office at 1(573) 222-7500 or messaging us on our Facebook page. |
