GeneralNotice to Campers - Greenville Campground October 2026:During the last 3 Saturdays of October, the Greenville Campground will host the Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee Special Event. The event will take place Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. During this time, the gates to the campground will be closed and no vehicle traffic will be allowed through due to pedestrian traffic. Participants will enjoy trick-or-treating through the campground. Campers are encouraged to participate in site decoration, but participation is completely voluntary. This is a family friendly event. Passing out alcoholic beverages or other adult drinks will not be allowed. This will be a highly trafficked time for the campground, so if you believe that this will affect your stay at the Greenville Campground, please make appropriate schedule changes or accommodations. Absolutely love Old Greenville! Site 6 is a pull-thru with plenty of shade and very level. The campground in general is very level and the campground hosts are very friendly and helpful.

My spot was much sunnier than I thought it would be due to loss of 2 huge trees since I last camped. Would be nice to have updated photos so a person would know when reserving

The camper next to us had 3 dogs and did not keep them on a leash. They roamed around and "pooped' multiple times near our camper. The owners were no where to be seen and did not pick it up. I complained to the host, who spoke to the campers with no rusult. A ranger also spoke with them. The dogs remained loose. Other than that, we had a good camping experience.

Campsites here are excellent. the patio or picnic area attached to your parking spot is concrete instead of the fine gravel that in most campgrounds tracks into your camper or tent. Not the case here beautiful clean concrete. Lots of bike and hike trails to enjoy. A park that is on the historical registry. So, much history to learn and be educated about. One of the best US Army Corp parks out of the 50+ I have been to. Tammy and Jason your Park Attendants are the exceptional to any others. Go to this PARK. You will not be disappointed!!!

The campsites are spacious and well kept. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and keep the campground and facilities clean. The bike trails are well kept and very enjoyable.

Easy in and out of the campground. Great place to bike. Nice level spots with FUP. We got visited by raccoons and skunks, so make sure to pick up trash...

The physical address of the park is located a mile south of Greenville, MO.
From St. Louis, take I-55 south to Highway 67 south to
Greenville. From here, continue south about 1 mile and look
for signs.
From Poplar Bluff take Highway 67 north about 29
miles and look for signs.
If utilizing Apple or Google Maps, key in "Greenville Recreation Area". Select the location that is located in Greenville, MO. This will take you directly to the entrance of the campground to check in.
Greenville Recreation Area is accessible from I-55 via Highway 67, which is approximately 1 mile away from the campground.

Policies & Rules
General
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Existing day use shelter reservations may be cancelled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers if the facility is closed due to flooding, elevated security threats, maintenance problems, etc. Reservations may also be cancelled when the reservation conflicts with large public special events that would negatively impact a private event at the shelter. For these reasons, customers should consider an alternate date or location in the event a closure is necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
- This campground was completely renovated in 2019. Every site has been upgraded to full hook-up campsites, 50 amp electric, water and sewer. Each impact site was upgraded to concrete 16'X40' pads and include and accessible firering/grill, picnic table, and lantern post.
- All campers MUST register with gate attendant upon arrival to receive site and vehicle tags.

- Attention All Recreation Users: If you would like to hold an event or wedding at any of the project’s day use shelters, boat ramps, or any recreation area please call or visit the USACE Wappapello Lake project office to obtain the special use or event permit REQUIRED.These permits are required if you are hosting: a large gathering greater than 50 people, fishing tournaments, 5k’s, weddings, use of a bounce house/water slide of any kind, ETC. Please note that if events are held that require, but do not possess a special use or special event permit may be subject to a WRITTEN CITATION. Per Title 36 CFR 327.21(a) If you are planning on hosting an event and it does not fall under these specific criteria, please contacting with the USACE Wappapello Lake Project Office at 1(573) 222-7500 or messaging us on our Facebook page.
