Best time ever! We are pretty new to camping and recently bought our first camper. The camp hosts were there for us every step of the way. Very knowledgeable and enjoyable. The peace and quiet of the campground was very rewarding. Such a clean and well kept campground. Will definitely be staying there every time we can get the chance to go camping. Thanks for such a great experience!! We loved it!

We booked the group spots and it was exceeded our expectations. So so spacious, great shade, firewood provided, shower houses were clean. We had an awesome experience and can’t wait to make memories here again next year!

A grand park and excellent camping. Unfortunately, the dam was releasing huge amounts of lake water. That created rafts of foam and an occasional odor of sewage. Not enough to put off an old retired sailor who has suffered through lots of smelly ports and the gasping smell of stack gas from the ship's engine room, but my wife was not as tolerant and we had to leave a bit earlier than planned. We will go back. The attendants are great. Kind and generous. Careful to care for the grounds and their guests. The views are normally delightful and our dogs enjoy walking the trails which are well kept and fun for humans too. We enjoyed the birds and animals that we got to see. Just that "one dead cockroach in the stew"... no fault of the park or the conservation department.

Campsites are close and unfortunately our neighbor had a yapping dog. The host was very helpful in helping us move to another campground.

The booking website is difficult to navigate, and this needs to be addressed. The park itself is just wonderful, all the sites are clean, and well maintained. The shower house and lavatories are very clean, and the park host is very curtious, and informative. We will be back for sure!

Turn west on 254 toward Pomme de Terre Dam and continue across the dam. At the far end of the dam, turn north on the paved road and follow it to the park below the dam.
Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Reservations must be made via Recreation.gov website or app, or by calling their reservation line.
- Campers must check for reservations themselves as reservation tags will not be posted.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Fees & deposits
- The off-season camping season provides limited amenities including electricity, water, and a dump station for $10 per night from March 15 to April 15 and October 1 to November 30.
- Only credit and debit cards are accepted for reservations; cash and checks are not.
- Extra camping units will incur additional fees.
Site capacity
- Reservations can be made from the current day up to six months in advance, and campers may stay for a maximum of 14 consecutive days.
Safety & rules
- Be cautious of rapidly changing water levels on the river.
- Always wear your lifejacket for safety.
Fires & fuel
- Purchase firewood locally and burn it on-site to prevent pests.
