Baxter Campground is clean and well kept. The bathrooms are spotless with plenty of hot water for showers. The sites are paved. Some sites have a slight slope front to back but not severe, easily adjusted. Side to side the sites are level. No sewer hookups, but a dump station is conveniently located just past the gate. Water pressure is good. No problems with the electrical hookups. The swim area is a little rocky on the north side, but not bad otherwise.

From the first encounter with Captain at the check-in it was a top notch experience! The two attendants that were in charge of clean up were incredible! We had a beautiful spot and would definitely stay there again!
Also, the customer service team at Recreation.gov were amazing to deal with. We had some questions so we called the toll free number and aside from being on hold for awhile the service providers were terrific.

Some sites up on the hill look to be challenging to get trailers into, mainly site 46. I recommend checking the site specifics and looking at it before booking.
This is a nice campground. Seems to be well kept and the attendants are friendly. With the marina close by, there is boat traffic around the marina and in the campground.

Our Starlink worked great. Now AT&T was a different story, that was spotty. Grounds were clean and kept. Nice camp hosts. We had a spot right of the lake.

Camped at largest 70’ site #34 which allowed for our 37’ 5th wheel camper, our F-250, as well as our friends F-150. Nice tree covered site, definitely would stay in this spot again and will be staying at this campground again in June. Good electrical and water pressure. Didn’t use the beach for swimming but was a nice little beach area, small rocks so you’ll probably want to wear water shoes. The site has a good camp side view of the lake through the trees. The campground is very dark at night, so take a flashlight along if you go walking at night. When we were there, the week prior to Memorial Day, it was very quiet and peaceful.
The marina employees are very helpful and friendly.
