What Guests Are Saying
Mill Creek in Missouri is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained campground with spacious sites and stunning lake views. Visitors appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite destination. While some noted the lack of Wi-Fi and a rude camp host, these negatives were overshadowed by the overall positive experiences shared by many campers.

Mill Creek Campground was great. Recreation.gov was only so-so.
Mill Creek is a prime location on the lake. The sites are nice and the bathrooms were well-maintained. Staff at the gatehouse were super friendly.
The complications with Recreation.gov were began with the fact that we only wanted a 1 night rental on a weekend. They have a 2-night minimum (3 nights on holiday weekends). We were booking the day before, sites were available. I spoke to the campground, who referred me to calling the recreation.gov toll free number, who referred me back to the campground to get permission from the campground supervisor (or some such title), who referred me to a park ranger, who obtained approval from his chief. THEN, I had to book 3 nights, stay, cancel the remaining nights noting permission in the comments. VERY convoluted. Everyone was agreeable but the system ridiculous!

Mill creek is a beautiful park and we enjoyed our weeks stay. The sites are level and very well maintained. The bathrooms were in excellent shape, always clean and supplied with TP. Would be nice to have hand soap available in the bathrooms along with a few dumpsters scattered around the park. Wish all COE parks would put in sewer hook-ups.
