Nice site, right on the water. Easy access to beach and for putting in our paddleboards. Also a great location if youre planning to go to a concert at Black Oak Amphitheater.

We've been coming to Baxter for years. It's one of our favorite places to camp. It's always very clean and love the swim beach. Would definitely recommend for RV and tent camping.

Love this park! The staff was wonderful. Park was clean and well organized. Lake was beautiful as always. It is one of our favorite places to stay.

Camped at #39 in a tent. Not the levelest spot but the view was great. Close to showers/ restrooms, and swimming beach. Bathrooms were clean but really hot and humid. People were friendly. Will be going back.

Great campground....well maintained....we always saw the park hosts and cleaners...
Park hosts were very helpful. I believe Captain was the name of one of them...he was extremely friendly and helpful.

The campground is accessible via State Highway 86, which is approximately 7 miles to the northwest.

General
- ALL personal equipment (boats, trailers, personal supplies etc. ) must be stored at reserved campsites. No equipment shall be stored in boat ramp/day-use parking for overnight storage.
- Failure to pay day use fees, and or properly display applicable receipt, permit or pass is prohibited. All daily guests must pay a day-use fee and have day-use reciept properly displayed. DAy passes and USACE annual passes may be purchased at the kiosk next to the booth.
- All RV's, vehicles, and supplies still on site after may be subjected to impoundment our towed at the owners expense.
- All discounted passes (Golden Age, Senior Lifetime, Senior Annual, Access) must be physically present apon arival. Fraudulant use of a Golden Age or Golden Access Passport (Printouts, photos ect.) is prohibited and will not be discounted.
- Camping at one or more campsites at any one water resource project for a period longer than 14 days during any 30 consecutive day period is prohibited without the written permission of the District Commander.
- Please be advised that providing business services within a USACE campground is prohibited per Title 327.18(a) The engaging in or solicitation of business on project lands or waters without the express written permission of the District Commander is prohibited. This includes services such as RV or tent delivery & set-up, firewood sales and delivery.
- One tent and one RV or two tents are allowed per campsite
- Sanitation, No dumping of household trash, gray water, rubbish, black water or any other waste material or waste liquid. All waste generated must deposed of at the dump station or removed from the project lands.
