Frank Russell Campground, set near the picturesque Mark Twain Lake, has a location near the dam, providing campers with easy access to the lake, river and surrounding attractions. The campground also features an amphitheater with weekly events in the summer. The lake's namesake and legendary author and humorist, Mark Twain, was born in a town beside the lake.

It was a holiday weekend in our site number 38 was very good shaded and the new blacktop has been repaired and it’s in good shape now we always enjoy coming and we extended our stay in another three days because we were having such a good time when the weather changed, it was great thank you for the care you take of the park.

I wish you had a floating dock for swimming. Very hard to go for an evening cooldown when I can fall and break a hip.😆 We come every year and love this park. Bathrooms were functional but couldn't get any cool water. Very clean campsite and nice host.

Major roadway construction was taking place inside the park which made travel on the park roads challenging.
The site I was in 003 also has a significant amount of falling grade. It so much that the coach could not achieve anywhere near level. Most sites were not this severe but guest should pay attention to the listed grade (003 was listed as"slight")
