The newish campsites at Frank Russel are in a class above any other campground in Missouri. They include full hookups, well kept shower house and an unusual access within walking distance to a top shelf archery range. The sites are about 3.5 mi from the Ray Bahrens boat launch and less than 4 mi to Spalding Launch. All in all its the perfect location for campers.

Sites are nice, had a good stay except for the repair crews working on the road. It was loud and a little distracting.

Alot of things to do and see close by, historic Hannibal ,MO, beaches, shooting ranges for archery and guns, there's even a shared trail for horses, bikes, and hikers. Oh a wonderful campground also, with most of the sites being full hookup, there is also a fishing pond, so bring your fishing poles. Only one thing firewood and ice aren't being sold on the campground, some make sure to bring some!
