Everything that we needed was very conveniently located. The campsite itself was great! We enjoyed our 1st family camping experience.

A lot of space ( privacy) between campsite and the lake side runs all the way to the lake with paths. And surprisingly restrooms were numerous.

As a first-time visitor to this park, we reserved what appeared to be a nice site. But when we arrived, we found that it was in a section that gave an abandoned appearance. It was spooky! So we went to a much better area where there were numerous open sites and other campers.
There were some minor issues with switching sites, but they worked out.

We are full time RV folks. We found it very easy to check in and find our site. We couldn't check in at the guard shack when we arrived as it was closed. The volunteer came to our stite and gave us all information we needed and said we were checked in and all we had to do was to have a good time. The grounds were very well kept when we arrived. We were there during the flat line wind storms that took down trees and power. The rangers sprung into action and opened up roads, inter streets and helped folks remove trees from their Rv's. Ultimately when they found that power line problems in the area could not be repaired quickly due to the extent of of damage they had to close down the park. They helped people in every way they could in getting moved. In our hurry we forgot our electrical surge protector. We called at 7pm to leave a message and low and behold a ranger answered the phone. He went over to our site, retrieved our surge protector and took it to his office and was there for us to pick up the following day. This is a beautiful park with an excellent paid and volunteer staff working there. We will stay there again when passing through.

It's hard to do a review as we were there when the storm hit. As a result we left early. Services before the storm were good and staff was helpful. Sites are difficult for a large motor home due to not being able to level on many of them. Someone needs to look at the info on recreation.gov regarding the sites as that information is highly inaccurate regarding slope.

Nice park with plenty of room between sites. Plenty of shade as well.
