Campsites are very wide and long. Plenty of room to spread out unlike other campgrounds where the sites are on top of each other.

The rain we encountered was certainly not the fault of the campground, however, because of the rain our site (42) was really muddy due to the lack of sufficient rock. We had to walk through mud as soon as we stepped off the pavement when getting out of the camper. To get to the fire pit we had to step through mud. As we looked around at the other sites, they had plenty of rock. I wonder why 42 had very little. We do like Ray Behrens and go every year but were disappointed this time. I hope more rock can be added to the site.

We had a great week! Every time we go there, we enjoy a special treat at The Rustic Oak just down the road - we highly recommend the BlackBerry Cobbler!

Overall, the park is well maintained (other than poison ivy in our campsite), it is quiet and peaceful, and the sites are well spread out. Upgrades should be made to run water and sewer to more sites. The water fill-up station is inconveniently located to where you have to check in, circle around to the exit to fill up, then circle back around through the entrance. I wish they would thin out just a few trees to provide a lake view. Need wifi or some type of cellular coverage in the case of an emergency; our truck broke down and we had to call for a tow, it took forever because there is barely cell coverage and kept dropping the call.
