Near Hannibal where lots of Mark Twain activities are. Didn't fish this trip, but the lake was very nice and lots of boating. Ticks were a nuisance.

Very upset that the bath houses have been removed. The sign indicates that the new ondes will not be built until 2024. The bath houses are the only safe places in case of a storm or tornado. We had severe weather with warnings to go to an interior room or basement. In a case like that the ranger would be going around the campground telling people to use the bath houses for safety. Something needs to be done now, not next year.

THEY SHOULD HAVE WORKED ON THE BATHROOMS DURING THE OFF SEASON NOT IN PRIME FISHING TIME.

The site was great, we asked Chris the Ranger to move us from our original site due to that one was only electric. He told us we had to cancel our current reservation and make a new one due to there was a difference in price. He would credit us the 3 nights from Site 142B. I called the Rec. Gov phone number to make a new reservation and she told us once the stay was in process the only person that could do the refund was the Park Ranger. Seth, the park Ranger did call us and ask if Chris took care of us. I asked him to follow up with the credit. Neither Chirs or Seth issued the credit. They both were nice on the phone. This was our first experience at this park, not sure we would go back to this one.
The loop of sites were large and nice. I give the site 4 stars.

Our favorite site in this campground! Just wish there was better AT&T service or Wi-Fi available.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
