Camp Elim RV Park & Campground

We looked online for a place to stay the night in our motor home, and found this RV park. It sounded lovely! Tom was very nice and helpful on the phone while reserving a spot. When we arrived we were a bit confused as to where the restrooms were, since it mentioned online that there were public restrooms. I called back and asked Tom where they were, and he said they don’t have any yet, and are still making improvements. I’m sure he does not control google descriptions, and we have all the amenities in our rig- so no worries. It was convenient, the pull through sites were nicely stoned, and the neighbors waved hello!
If you need a spot to pull over for the night and hook up power, it’s a good choice.

Welcoming place to stay a while. I pulled in at about 9pm. The campground crew came out to greet us. Offered to help set up and made sure we were good to go. I would recommend this campground to anyone!

Such a sweet RV park. We loved the simplicity and beautiful natural setting that felt calm, peaceful and welcoming after a long exhausting drive. It didn’t feel like a typical RV park. It felt spacious and relaxing. The family that owns the park was very welcoming and kind. I highly recommend this park if you’re in the area and need a convenient place for an RV stay.

A Hidden Gem That Became Home – Our Five-Month Stay at Camp Elim RV Park

When my wife, our toddler, and I pulled into Camp Elim RV Park in Newburg, Missouri, we thought we were just finding a place to stay for a while. What we ended up finding was so much more—a peaceful haven, incredible owners, and a place that felt like home during a season of our lives we’ll never forget.

We stayed at Camp Elim for five months, through warm fall days and into the heart of winter. I was going through Army training at Fort Leonard Wood during this time, and Camp Elim’s location could not have been more perfect. It’s exactly 15 minutes from the MSCoE building—close enough to get to base quickly, but far enough to come home to true peace and quiet every evening.

From the very first day to the very last, we were treated with more kindness and care than we ever expected.

The Owners: The Heart of Camp Elim

What truly sets Camp Elim apart is the people who run it. The owners are not only incredibly responsive, but they are also genuinely kind, thoughtful, and present. It wasn’t just business—it was personal. They took time to talk with us, helped us with anything we needed, and checked in regularly just to make sure we were doing okay.

We had dinners and lunches with them, and some of the best moments of our stay were the simple ones—bumping into them in the park and having good, easy conversations that made us feel connected. They never had to go as far as they did to make sure we were taken care of, but they did it anyway. You don’t forget people like that.

The Pond, the Trail, and a Toddler’s Delight

Our toddler absolutely loved the pond. Not a day went by that she didn’t want to walk down there, grab a handful of rocks, and toss them in just to watch the ripples. The joy she got from something that simple reminded us to slow down and appreciate the beauty around us.

The trail around the pond and stretching into the back of the park quickly became our daily ritual. It’s a peaceful, quiet walk through trees and gentle terrain—perfect for a little one’s curiosity. She played with sticks and bugs, chased leaves, and waved at our neighbors. Every part of that trail holds memories now.

Snow Days and Simple Joys

One of our favorite stretches during our time there came when we got snowed in. Everything was covered in white, and instead of stress or worry, there was calm. We were safe. We were warm. And the owners were there—checking in, helping out, making sure every guest was okay.

Community Without Pressure

There’s a gentle rhythm to life at Camp Elim. You have neighbors, but there’s no noise or crowd. Just kind people here and there, everyone respectful, and every now and then a wave or a quick hello that made us feel like part of a small, quiet community. Our daughter loved the occasional visit with a neighbor, and we appreciated the balance of connection and privacy.

Well-Maintained, Peaceful, and Easy to Love

The park is clean, well taken care of, and tucked just far enough off the highway that you feel like you’ve truly escaped. The hookups worked perfectly the whole time we were there. Everything is as it should be—reliable, peaceful, and designed with care.

There’s not a lot of flash here—and that’s part of what makes it special. It’s real, honest hospitality in a beautiful, quiet setting. The kind of place you settle into without even realizing it. The kind of place you don’t want to leave.
