What Guests Are Saying
Piedmont Park at Clearwater Lake is a well-maintained, beautiful campground offering stunning lake views and a peaceful atmosphere. Many reviewers praised the accommodating and friendly camp host and clean facilities, although some noted that the beach area and bathrooms could be improved. While the park lacks cell service and some sites may be challenging for larger rigs, overall, visitors enjoyed their stay and appreciated the scenic surroundings and ample shade.

Beautiful park. Great campground host! It rained quite a bit the weekend we were there so our spot was flooded, we went to the host and she let us switch spots! FYI-No AT&T cell phone service.

We were on Pad 13B. The asphalt was so broken we had to avoid the broken pieces in order to even level our trailer. Therefore when we entered or exited the trailer we used an extra step. The park is too primitive now! I understand why our friends would rather go to Greenville RV Park.

First off the campground, showers, and bathrooms were all clean. It is really a nice place to stay. We stayed in spot b10, which had a lot of room to maneuver while backing in. It was nice and level, didn't have to use blocks, which was nice, but the pad is pretty narrow. We set up our travel trailer and the steps came right to the edge of the pad, leaving a giant step on the bottom, that a person had to watch out for. The water spigot was a little far away, but we didn't have an issue with that. I keep a 50 foot shrink hose on hand. Over all it was a great place to stay!

the park ranger made me shut of our generator at 10 pm . This generator only makes 60 decibels of noise . I paid 1100.00 dollars so I had a quiet one . The air conditioners on the campers make more noise than that. Mini bikes were allowed to ride in the park all night long. I did not rent a non electric site to avoid the extra money ,it was all that was left .

We went the first week of May, and the store near the primary campground was closed all weekend. No signs. No notice. The next closest store is about nine miles away, then after that, in Piedmont. Check as you come in so you'll know what to expect for last minute provisions.

This is a fishing lake so be aware that your neighbors in the campground may get up very early (like ours did at 4:30am) and warm up their truck for 15 minutes and then drive around the campground, only to return and idle again for awhile before finally leaving. Also, be sure to have shades on your windows because campers here like to light up their RVs like Christmas trees all night long.
