Nemo camping is always so much fun. The campsites are great and the shower houses are clean. I loved that church was offered on Sunday morning. Was overall a great experience!

We like camping closer to the lake. Some people swim while some prep camping things! The playground is a great way for the children to play in the evenings. We also like to bike on the campground because of paved pathways!

We have been camping here at Nemo every summer for the past 8 years. The Camp Hosts and Janitorial Hosts have been the absolute best in all the time we have been coming to Nemo. It was so great to see them actually driving through the park multiple times a day, the restrooms and showers were the cleanest we have ever seen them! Even the air flow grates in the ceilings were clean for the first time ever! What an incredible stay!
Only caveat was the overgrowth along the lakeshore. I believe this lies on the responsibilities of the Corp of Engineers as opposed to the camp hosts. To get to the shoreline, you have to trek through waist-high vegetation that is nerve-racking knowing that it is perfect habitation for mosquitos and ticks, as we make our way through in swimsuits. Last year, we didn't experience this, but it has been an issue in years past. However, this year was probably the worst, as there was no way of avoiding having to walk through the tall vegetation.

We have camped at Nemo Landing for decades. Never have we ever seen the grass along the shoreline so tall. NO ONE wants to wade tall grass and weeds that is well over 2 feet tall to get to the boat and water. I'm short so it was to the tip of my thigh. Hello, snakes! We couldn't have possibly seen one to prevent a strike. WHY is it not being mowed as in years past??
The bathrooms south/southeast of the playground was ATROCIOUS!! Normally the only showers we use. Not this year. They were filthy most of the time, even after the janitorial service was by. ROCKS, multiple rocks piled at the shower drains, the toilets leak water from the base so you're wading sewer water, some outer doors do not even lock! It would be nice if the missing towel hooks could be replaced.
We did appreciate the soap provided for handwashing in the actual bathrooms. That was a nice find this year.
Hopefully things improve at Nemo Landing before our next visit.
