I love camping at Buck Creek. It is quite, nice and peaceful. Plus it has beautiful scenery. Shawn does an awesome job as an attendant.

The weather was beautiful. When we arrived we found at least a hundred cigarette butts on our campsite. We asked the camp host for a rake and shovel to clean them up. We were obliged. Once cleaned up and out of reach of our children we had a great time. I in no way blame this campground for the shameful actions of a previous camper. We know it was one camper because the cigarettes were of one brand only. I am ashamed and disgusted by the behavior of this camper. I was taught to leave a campground in better shape than I found it. This is what I teach my children. Other than this issue everything was wonderful. The restrooms and showers were kept very clean. We will be going back to this campground in the future.

It's a very nice and well maintained campground. Large mature trees and great lake access. Most sites have a view of the lake. Lake levels are up so some of the sites are unavailable. Hosts are very helpful and accessible. Good security and very clean. Right around the corner is a car ferry that will take you over to the other side into Arkansas. It's free and very interesting. The only drawback is there isn't many food options as it is fairly remote. The good news is Branson is only a short drive away. Also, we love to eat at Cookies in Theodosia. It's just a short scenic drive. If you love to fish and value peace and quiet, this is the place for you. We have stayed here 3 times and we love it.

We always have a great time visiting Buck Creek, but would like to see several upgrades to the electric and some of the camp sites. The campers now need 50 amp service and most of those spots are always under water.
