What Guests Are Saying

The Hook-Up RV Park is a highly recommended campground known for its cleanliness and friendly, attentive hosts. Guests appreciate the well-maintained facilities, including immaculate bathrooms and a pleasant laundry area, as well as the charming atmosphere created by the owners. While the park is conveniently located off the highway, some noise from traffic and trains may be heard; however, the overall experience, including large green spaces for pets and community areas, makes it a great stop for travelers.

My husband and I are in the middle of moving from Washington State to Georgia, and we needed a place to stay while passing through. After seeing all the wonderful reviews, I knew we had to reserve a spot—and I’m so glad we did!

Cons: The campground is conveniently located right off the highway, which made it easy to get to, but it does mean you’ll hear some highway traffic. We also heard a train pass by a couple of times during our stay. The laundry room was absolutely spotless, but I do wish it had a little more space or a larger folding area for clothes.

Pros: Everything else more than made up for those minor things! The campground hosts live on-site and are some of the kindest people we’ve met. It was heartwarming to see one of the hosts helping another camper with their RV. The barn where you check in is absolutely adorable and full of charm.

One of my favorite parts was meeting their friendly cat, Shepherd, who greeted us as soon as we walked in. He made us feel right at home!

My husband and I both agreed that these were probably the cleanest campground bathrooms we’ve ever seen, and we’ve stayed at a lot of campgrounds. The showers were fantastic, and the laundry room was just as clean. I also loved running on the peaceful country roads surrounding the campground—they were beautiful and made for a relaxing morning run. We also bought some fresh eggs from the hosts after we checked in, and they were delicious! There wifi was impressively fast too!

Overall, I’d rate this campground a 10/10. If you’re looking for a clean, peaceful campground with incredibly kind hosts, this is definitely a place worth staying. We’d absolutely stay here again!

We stayed for one night as we were passing through heading back home to Georgia. It’s conveniently located of the hwy. We arrived to The Hook-up RV park with its well-maintained grounds, and were warmly greeted by the owners who were ready for us when we arrived for check-in at their beautifully decorated office. They were so welcoming and friendly, explaining all the details to our site and stay and we chatted for a while as they were genuinely interested about our travels. The private bathrooms and laundry room looked and smelled extremely clean. One of the best we’ve stayed at throughout our travels. All gravel sites were level and well spaced out. Large area for dogs to run, a community fire pit and picnics tables with swings under a few large trees for family relaxation and enjoyment, but no individual picnic tables or fire rings at sites. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back for future stays in our travels. Highly recommended.

This park was a great find. We needed a place near Mansfield for a visit to the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum. This fit the bill. It was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed that it was in a quiet area and had large green areas to walk our dog. Also, it was close to Springfield. The owners were very friendly!

A great stop for us. We wanted a few days to explore Springfield and Mansfield (the Laura Ingalls Wilder historic home and museum. The Hook-Up RV park is conveniently in between. The park is Clean and well kept. Still looks new. Owners are very nice.

This is a very nice RV park, about 15 minutes east of Springfield and right off the highway. The owners Chuck and Christine go over and beyond with everything they do, they are amazing! They have immaculate bathrooms and showers that always smell wonderful! There's also a really nice laundry area and a big fire pit for anybody to use! This is our second visit here and we will definitely be back! ❤️❤️
