Caplinger Woods RV & Campground

Hands down one the of best floats, campsites, and friendliest staff. I highly recommend going for the 4th of July. The fireworks show is one of the greatest I have ever seen. My husband and I are going down for the 2nd time this coming July for the 4th. We went went there twice last summer and took our teenage sons. Everyone had a great time.

Have you ever heard of a yert? Well it supposed to sleep up to 6 people but bed frame was so bent you slept at a tilt. We told the manager we was coming to fish and asked if there was flooding. We tried to fish that night but current was so strong we couldn't. Next morning the spot we was fishing from just 7 hours prior was under water and water was rising fast. Had to leave but lost all the money we spent for two nights. Stay away and try your luck else where.

Great location with fire pits and tables at the primitive campsites. I'm definitely coming back to rent a kayak. They had a QR code on the door of the shop to buy a campsite and firewood after hours when nobody was there to man the store. Owner was cool.

We been coming here to camp and float now for 2 years numerous times. Great experience everytime. Campground is very well maintained and clean. Owners and staff go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Looking forward to next year's season.
